This is a part‑time passion project, offered to fellow cat lovers who want peace of mind knowing their cats are being cared for by someone who truly understands them.

 

Who I Am

I’m a long‑time Ojai visitor (21 years and now local nearly 5 years), an entrepreneur with a flexible schedule, and — most importantly — a proud cat mom for most of my life.

People often joke that when they come back in their next life, they want to be my cat. I take that as the highest compliment.

Cats have always been part of my home, my heart, and my daily rhythm. I don’t see them as pets — I see them as family members with personalities, preferences, and emotional needs.

Why I Offer Cat Care

Even after working with some wonderful sitters in Ojai, I’ve repeatedly found myself in the same position:

  • No availability when I needed help

  • Inconsistent care or communication

  • Sitters who "checked boxes" but didn’t truly connect with my cat

I realized something simple:

If I’m having this problem, other cat parents are too.

So I decided to offer what I’ve always wanted for my own cats.

My Philosophy of Care

 

I treat cats the way I would want someone to treat mine:

  • With respect for their boundaries and personalities

  • With attention to their emotional and physical well‑being

I believe happy cats are not just fed and cleaned — they are seen, soothed, and supported.

I also act more like a stand in "cat mom" than someone who just comes quickly and leaves

My background as a wellness‑focused entrepreneur gives me a unique lens when caring for animals.

I am knowledgeable in:

This doesn’t mean I replace veterinary care — it means I notice subtle changes, honor your cat’s nervous system, and approach care with intention rather than urgency.

A Note on Availability

Because this is a part‑time, heart‑led offering, availability is limited. And because I over deliver in time and attention, my fees will be most likely higher than the average "sitter".

I intentionally keep this service small so I can provide:

  • Consistent attention

  • High‑quality care

  • Energy that is calm, present, and unrushed

Outside of cat sitting, I’m a longtime entrepreneur, educator, Podcast Network Creator & Host and empowerment strategist with a career rooted in wellness, emotional intelligence, and holistic approaches to healing and growth.

I am the founder of multiple personal development platforms and media projects, including a successful podcast network with millions of downloads worldwide. My work spans emotional well-being, nervous system regulation, mindset, embodiment, and alternative approaches to health and healing. "What a stellar experience having JJ watch my kitty while I was traveling. This is not Rover (awful service)… this is a white glove experience, not only for your pet. JJ watered the plants, interfaced with our housekeeper and sent daily reports and photos about everything. We travel frequently so I’ve tried various services. One was so disastrous that my pet died shortly after we returned home. Since then, I’ve been so picky (almost travel adverse ) but JJ put all my fears to rest.
